As we head into another vitally important clash this weekend, a loss for either side can inflict a devastating blow to their Top 8 chances while a win for one of these two teams can drastically increase their chances of playing footy in September.

This weeks Flash Back Friday takes us back to Round 11, 2014.  It was Cappy's 6th game in charge after taking over from Elliott after Round 5 and had managed to win 2 games from his first 5 games in charge.

The scoring got underway thanks to Ben Matulino running a beautiful line that saw him collect a pass from Chad Townsend to score just to the left of the posts and virtually untouched. A fumble by Sam Tomkins at the back shortly after gifted the Titans a try in the corner.

Then 19 year old David Fusitua, a late inclusion in the side, provided the spark for the Warriors to hit back. With a determined run into the teeth of the opposition defence, Fusi produced a perfectly weighted offload for a flying Shaun Johnson to collect and out pace the cover defense to score a brilliant Warriors try. The Titans responded swiftly again, this time it was a barnstorming run by man mountain, David Taylor.

With 5 minutes left until half time, Konrad Hurrell picked up a woeful pass from around his shoe laces and then proceeded to draw the defenders in before getting the ball away to Fusitua who had very little trouble scoring from such close range. Again it was the Titans who hit straight back after a wayward Townsend kick landed straight into the arms of the opposition to run the length of the field a score a try to give the Titans the upperhand at half time.

5 minutes into the 2nd half it was Mateo who gave a flat ball for Captain Mannering to crash over. Although the decision went upstairs as a "no try" the video ref saw enough evidence to over turn the decision and in the process handing the lead back to the away side.

Hurrell again produced a try assist for his outside man, Fusitua, after drawing in 4 defenders and then producing a "flick out the back" off load for David to score his 2nd try.

Over the last 10 minutes the Warriors won a scrum against the feed by pushing as the ball was fed and a scare was sent through the Warriors camp as Shaun Johnson was unable to end the game, succumbing to an ankle injury.

The scores remained the same after Fusitua's last try and the Warriors got a win on the road and provided Cappy with his 3rd victory in the process with a 24-16 result.
